Symbols are a graphic representation of notes that you make during an Interpreting assignment.

This CPD Masterclass looks at why we use symbols, the history of symbols usage, where they come from, how symbols are devised, how they are selected and the rules for adopting or creating symbols.

We’ve teamed up with US-based highly experienced Interpreter and Trainer, David Violet, who provides examples of the symbols he uses and how and why they came about.

Each Module is in video form, and a transcription is also provided, so you don’t have to take notes whilst listening (although it would be good practice to do so, of course!).
