HISTORY
In 2010, translation & interpreting agency founder Eileen Enos decided to launch training courses so that capable linguists could get more work, and better-paid work.
Having run her agency, Talking Heads, since 1999, she could see that clients were regularly requesting Interpreters and seeking to employ new team members who held a specific qualification or who had studied the subject matter. As professional providers of language services, she understood the 'provision' part of the process and knew that capable linguists existed but needed to provide linguists who had the appropriate training and / or qualifications.
The 'dual-power' of professional agency experience combined with working with fantastic teachers and course-writers has resulted in us providing excellent online and face-to-face courses with award-winning results and many, many happy customers.
AWARDS
Under our previous name of Talking Heads Linguist Training, we were awarded the Nuffield Trophy for the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting: Best Group entry, by the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Our DipTrans course student, Cornelia Oetting, was awarded the Fred Brandeis Trophy for the DipTrans: Best English-German candidate, by the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Supporting the CIoL
Founded in 1910 and subsequently granted its Royal Charter by HM Queen Elizabeth II, the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) is the UK’s Royal Chartered professional body for translators and those using high level language skills in their professional and working lives.
CIOL Qualifications (CIOLQ) serves professional linguists, setting standards and providing qualifications for translators and language professionals which are recognised widely in the UK and around the world.
PEOPLE
EILEEN ENOS, Founder
Eileen has been a professional linguist since the 1980s and in 1999 she started Talking Heads as an LSP for private and public sector clients.
Eileen is a qualified and experienced professional linguist and a qualified teacher of languages.
Eileen primarily works on course content and is the official Examinations Officer / Invigilator for Examinations.
Laurianne Walsh, Delivery & Support
Laurianne was previously a Director of a full-service LSP for 12 years. During this time, she worked with many clients across the world offering Translation and Interpreting services. She has managed the provision of online training to linguists since 2012.

THE SUPPORT TEAM
