Anne D, Linguist CV Masterclass 2022
"Simple, clear, to the point - just like your CV should be! I was curious when an invitation to take this free course landed in my inbox, so I started it straight away. It's good practice to review your CV on a regular basis anyway, so I had nothing to lose. Although most of the advice is tailored specifically to linguists, it can easily be applied to any CV. The information is simple, clear and to the point. The employer/agency needs to know ......, because of ....., so you need to put this information on your CV, in this format." 5 out of 5 stars.
Linguist CV Masterclass 2022

Linguist CV Masterclass 2022
“Very useful course! The course was interesting and, as always, there was something new to learn. I liked that everything was very well explained with the examples. I will definitely apply all I learnt in my own CV and continue develop my professional skills further. Thank you very much for the interesting and informative course. :) And downloadable example of CV was a nice bonus! “5 out of 5 stars.
ILTD Legal Translation course
“I would rate this course 10 out of 10. I have learnt brand new words with the Legal Glossary, which are helpful to my legal translation profession.”
ILTD CPD COURSE
“I particularly enjoyed the insight into the kinds of topics that legal translators encounter, through the 'Common Legal Issues' session. Similarly, I also enjoyed the practical comments on translation practice, such as in 'The Essence of Legal Translation', 'Constraints of Bilingual Processing' and 'Revision/Proofreading'. These contained concepts that will be helpful for the translation work I already perform, even though I don't specialise in legal translation currently.”
ILTD course
“I found the information provided to be useful, along with the explanations of job positions and aspects of English law, as it gives good background information for those with no formal legal training. The idea of creating a glossary is also a good one, as it allows the translator to keep their terminology in one place.”
Rita (BSL), BSL Legal 2024
“This training is excellent. I enjoyed the mix of learning materials, both audio and visual and plenty of variation in exercises to complete. The glossary is a great resource that can be used to reference and grow the legal terminology you use. I enjoyed the opportunity to practice Interpreting - it's a good way of practicing legal jargon into BSL, to make sure you convey the meaning and intent of the source language.”

“Consider doing a preparatory course if you want to practise and feel better prepared for your online translation exams. I did one with linguisttraining.com and especially the translation practices with feedback from a Danish mentor were excellent.”
